Emerald Bay is a talented young mare destined to succeed. She jumps consistently with super technique, and is a sporty, modern type. Scopey, stylish, and an eye-catching mover, Emerald Bay has the potential to win in the jumper or hunter ring. She has proven to be athletic and very careful, yet still brave and willing.

Emerald Bay’s sire, Quinar, son of the Olympic competitor Quidam de Revel, was himself a successful competitor in advanced S level international showjumping. Quintar has excellent conformation, type and motion, with tremendous scope – he has passed these qualities on to his offspring, siring at least 9 licensed stallions and 5 world champion jumping horses. Quinar is also the sire of Richard Spooner’s impressive young Grand Prix horse, Quirado.

Emerald Bay’s dam, Veritas, is one of our favorite broodmares at Rancho Corazon. Her foals have all received premium awards. Veritas is a daughter of Carpaccio, who was ranked #1 on the breeding index and was the champion of his 100-day test. He has produced several notable offspring, including the 2012 champion of the Holsteiner Verband Approvals, Chico’s Boy.
