This big beautiful bay mare is the perfect example of thoughtful breeding. A talented, willing and sweet horse, Candescere combines the best traits of her lineage.
Her sire, Candymann, is by the legendary Caretino, who is considered one of the most important sires of the Holsteiner Verband. His offspring have won over $3.4 million and include top ranked international show jumpers like Richard Spooner’s Cristallo. Candescere’s dam, Electra, is by talented Landgraf I son, Le Santo, the AHHA sire of the year in 1989 and 1999. His athletic ability and disposition allowed him to be successful in both the show jumping ring and the dressage arena. Electra has produced several successful performance horses, including the 2014 Condino Award-winning stallion, Cristal, who now competes in the International Hunter Derbies with Nick Haness.
Accordingly, Candescere has round, generous strides and demonstrates exceptional power and scope over fences. She is jumping 1.10m with ease and confidence, and is destined for the highest levels of competition. Candescere will be starting the young horse divisions this fall.
